Review & Analysis
With Singapore's humid weather, packed MRT rides, and jam-packed schedules, running out of battery is simply not an option. The Anker PowerCore 20000mAh power bank promises to keep you charged through even the longest days — and at S$49 on Shopee, it's priced to compete hard against the big boys. With a jaw-dropping 4.8-star rating from over 22,000 reviewers, this could well be the most dependable power bank you can buy in Singapore right now.
Pros & Cons
What We Like
- Massive 20000mAh capacity easily charges most smartphones 4–5 times, perfect for multi-day trips or heavy daily use on Singapore's long commutes
- Dual output ports let you charge two devices simultaneously — great for couples or powering both your phone and earbuds at once

Watch Out For
- At roughly 340g, it's noticeably heavy to carry in a small sling bag or pocket, which may be a dealbreaker for ultra-light travellers
- No USB-C Power Delivery on the base model means fast-charging newer devices like the iPhone 15 or Samsung S24 may require an upgraded variant
Who Is This For?
This power bank is ideal for Singapore daily commuters, students, and frequent travellers who need reliable all-day and multi-day charging without breaking the bank. It's especially well-suited for those who regularly use Changi Airport, head up to JB, or spend long hours out of the office without access to wall sockets.
Our Verdict
The Anker PowerCore 20000mAh is a rock-solid choice for Singapore shoppers who want serious battery backup at a reasonable price. It won't win any awards for being the slimmest or fastest-charging power bank on the market, but its combination of trusted brand quality, dual charging ports, and massive capacity makes it hard to beat at S$49. If you can live with the weight, go ahead and add it to your Shopee cart — you won't regret it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the Anker PowerCore 20000mAh allowed on Singapore Airlines and Scoot flights?
Yes, a 20000mAh power bank (approximately 74Wh) falls within the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and most airline carry-on limits of 100Wh. However, it must be carried in your hand luggage and cannot be checked in — always verify with your specific airline before flying.
Q: How long does it take to fully recharge the Anker PowerCore 20000mAh itself?
Using a standard 5W charger, expect around 10–12 hours for a full recharge. If you use a compatible 18W or higher wall adapter (sold separately), you can bring that down to approximately 6–7 hours — a worthwhile upgrade for frequent users.
Q: Where can I buy the Anker PowerCore 20000mAh in Singapore and is there a warranty?
You can purchase it on Shopee Singapore for S$49 with fast local delivery. Anker products sold through authorised Shopee sellers typically come with an 18-month warranty. For peace of mind, check that the seller is Anker's official Shopee store or a verified authorised reseller before purchasing.
